1. MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Resin PTFE is virgin polytetrafluoroethylene. PVDF is polyvinylidene fluoride homopolymer. PP is a Type I homopolymer polypropylene with 30% E-glass milled fibers. All resins conform to the requirements of ASTM F1545. Liner Colors: PTFE spacers are unpigmented and white. PVDF is pigmented black. PP is pigmented orange. Thickness: The nominal thickness for reducing, standard, blind, and armored full face and ring spacers is 1/2" (13 mm) for 1" through 8" pipe sizes and 3/4" (19 mm) for 10" and 12" sizes. The thickness of single and double taper and orifice full face and ring spacers, and of lined steel ring spacers is produced per customer specifications. PTFE lined steel ring spacers are lined with unfilled PTFE virgin resin. Steel for ring spacers is SAE 1010-1030 or ASTM A516 GR 70 carbon steel plate. Steel for 1" through 8" armored spacers is manufactured from normalized ASTM A513 C-1010 aluminum killed steel tubing with chemical composition conforming to ASTM A587. Steel for 10" and 12" armored spacers conform to ASTM A53, Grade B, Type E. Metal wall thickness of steel armored spacers is 1/4" (6 mm).

Service Temperature: PTFE: -20°F (-29°C) to 450°F (232°C) PVDF: 0°F (-18°C) to 275°F (135°C) PP:    0°F (-18°C) to 225°F (107°C)

Operating temperature limitations may be encountered depending upon specific chemical environments.

Pressure: For Class 150 and 300 service, the maximum thickness recommended is 3" (76 mm). The preferred option to spacers is customized pipe spools.

3. INSPECTION AND QUALITY CONTROL:
