1Only the following size reductions should be made by this technique when connecting pipe with molded raised faces: 1½ x 1, 2 x 1, 2 x 1½, 2½ x 1½, 2½ x 2, 3 x 2, 3 x 2½, 4 x 2½, 4 x 3, 6 x 4, 8 x 6. All other reductions require use of reducing filler flanges or concentric reducers.
