District Sales Manager - Gulf Region
POSITION SUMMARY:
The District Sales Manager will be responsible for all sales functions on a regional basis for Resistoflex’s/PSI industrial products. The District Sales Manager will continuously develop and implement sales strategies, forecast sales, supervise distribution, improve relations with current distribution, develop new distribution, provide product and industry training, and direct end-user sales calls to increase top line sales and improve/maintain profitability. This position will report directly to the National Sales Manager - Lined Pipe & Fittings for the Americas.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishes and attains sales goals by brand, territory, product group and distributor.
Increases sales volume through direct efforts and by assisting manufacture representatives in the field;
a. To obtain repeat order volume from established distributor accounts.
b. To increase order volume by attracting new business, accounts, and distributors
c. To become a recognized brand-name supplier of flexible products, so that Resistoflex products are specified in the engineering design.

Provide data on a continuous basis to prepare, update, and control forecasts covering projects, MROs, and distributor stock orders.
Provide input regarding the necessary pricing levels required for project and MRO activity.
Coordinates with the Sales Manager, or independently, formal performance review with the management of each distributor organization at least annually. Identifies performance deficiencies and opportunities; works with distributor management to establish goals and programs to strengthen performance.
Establishes and maintains top level contact with existing and potential end-user customers and ensures that satisfactory customer service is provided.
Understands thoroughly current total market conditions and relays those in a concise and specific manner, on a monthly basis, to the Sales Manager, regarding market, product, and competitive trends.
Submits field sales department expense budget and is responsible for performance against approved budget levels.
Investigates, recommends, and participates in all industrial trade shows.
Recommends product modifications or improvements.
Provides direction and leadership to distributor sales in implementation of sales strategies and tactics.
Coordinates with Sales Manager, additions and terminations of distributors.
Submits on an annual basis sales forecasts for the purpose of Corporate Plan proposal
INTERACTION:
Maintains a good working relationship and close liaison with all members of management representing Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Management, Finance and Human Resources. May be called upon to assist on global projects and work on cross functional global teams to develop and implement strategic objectives.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
3 to 5 years of sales experience with industrial distribution.
Unimpeachable ethics.
Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Should be comfortable with travel throughout North America
Should be competent with the use of MS Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc).
Technical skills and experience.
Hold a valid driver’s license for operation of company car.
Must be able to travel long distances, day and night.
Be capable of air travel.
Must be able to walk piping galleries in chemical plants, refineries, and industrial facilities
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate should expect to travel 70% of the time throughout the Gulf region in the United States.
