| Note: |
Rotationally-lined non-ANSI dimension "Complex Shapes" are
available with carbon steel or stainless steel housings and flanges
through 12" dia. These include manifolds, branched elbows, reducing
laterals, double and triple branch instrument tees, etc, per
customer requirements. Complex Shapes lined with PP have unpigmented
liner. Contact factory for more information. |

- Lug Body Instrument Tee
- Reducing filler flange is
ASTM A516
GR 70 or SAE 1010-1030
steel.
|
|
6. LINER REQUIREMENTS: |
|
- Resin is a Type I homopolymer polypropylene for 1" through 8" and
Type I homopolymer polypropylene with 30% E-glass milled fibers for
10" and 12" sizes per ASTM F1545.
- Standard liners are orange in color. PP liner for complex shapes
is unpigmented.

The minimum liner flange face thickness is 0.100" (2.54 mm). |
|
7. OPERATING REQUIREMENTS: |
|
- Service temperature:
0° F (-18°C) to 225°F (107°C)
Note: Operating temperature limitations may be encountered depending
upon specific chemical environments.
- Pressure: The maximum allowable working pressure equals the
corresponding ASNI pressure-temperature rating per the designated
metallurgy.
- Vacuum: 1" through 12" fittings have full vacuum rating to
225°F.
|
|
8. STORAGE AND HANDLING REQUIREMENTS: |
|
- Avoid dropping or impacting fittings with heavy objects or storing
near high traffic areas.
- Uninstalled lined fittings should not be stored or handled at
temperatures below 0°F (-18°C).
|
|
9. PAINT: |
|
|
Paint for standard fittings is a two component epoxy primer, formulated on proprietary
polymer technology, which provides rapid cure and overcoating even
under low temperature conditions. The maximum external temperature
rating is 212°F (100°C).
Rotationally-lined complex shapes will receive a two-part polyamide
epoxy primer with a max. external temperature rating of 250°F.
|
|
10. INSPECTION AND QUALITY CONTROL: |
|
- Each standard fitting passes a 15,000 volt minimum electrostatic
spark test to ensure integrity of the plastic liner. Complex shapes
receive either a 12,500 volt minimum electrostatic spark test or a
425 psig hydrostatic test.
- All parts pass visual inspection.
- The sealing surface of the liner is free of defects that would
impair sealing effectiveness.
- Wooden or plastic end protectors are used to protect the plastic
faces. End protectors should stay in place until immediately prior to
installation.
- Fittings are labeled with a sticker which identifies the plastic
liner type and the flange material.
- Color Bands:
|
|
All fittings have color bands affixed to them to identify the liner
material as follows: |

Standard products are identified with molded date tabs on the plastic
faces or are impression marked for material traceability. |
