Plunkett Award Recognizes Innovation Companies from around the world compete annually for the prestigious DUPONT "Plunkett Award", which recognizes innovation with TEFLON®. Resistoflex was the second place winner for its CONQUEST® flangeless piping system which employs a patented welding technology to adjoin the TEFLON® liners. CONQUEST® reduces the risk of fugitive emissions and loss of primary containment by eliminating flanged connections in a plastic-lined piping system. The $3000 award is being donated by Resistoflex employees to the Bay Area Community Foundation, whose philanthropic mission is to improve the quality of life in the Bay City area communities. Resistoflex Poppet Check Valves are unique in the industry. Cast Steel bodies, three different liners, low cracking pressures, and extremely low seating pressures are just a few of the selling points. Other lined check valves, such as wafer checks and ball checks are hard pressed to provide the same levels of performance as the poppet design.
